Here are some helpful guidelines to ensure you’re always prepared to provide excellent service to our clients and have a positive experience on our platform.
Upload a clear photo to help businesses familiarize themselves with who they have selected for a shift.
Upload a horizontal photo
Upload a solo photo
Make sure you are centered in the photo
Do not use avatars
In a brief video (20 seconds or less), introduce yourself and your relevant experience to the businesses on our platform.
You will NOT be able to apply to shifts until you have completed your profile video. Profile videos help increase the likelihood of being selected by a business!
Highlight any hospitality roles you’ve held in the past to help businesses understand whether you’re a good fit for the shift.
Consider including the following items:
Relevant certifications
Names of hospitality businesses you’ve worked with
Number of years of experience
Only apply to shifts you know you can work
Apply to shifts with multiple slots to increase your chances of being accepted
Familiarize yourself with the shift location and how to get there
Review the shift instructions
Communicate with the business about any questions you have
Show up early to receive proper instruction on the shift assignment
If you’re running late for a shift, be sure to mark yourself as “running late” within the app and provide an estimated time of arrival
To maintain a high rating and Shifter Reliability %, be sure to:
Have a positive attitude
Provide excellent customer service
Stay for the entire shift duration
Complete the tasks asked of you
Review the business you worked for
The business has up to 48 hours to provide payment
Contact shiftNOW with any comments or questions about your shift
Canceling more than 24 hours prior to the start of your shift
When more than 24 hours notice is provided for a cancellation, your account access and Shifter Reliability % will not be affected.
Canceling less than 24 hours but more than 6 hours prior to the start of your shift
Impact:
A decrease in your Shifter Reliability %
Inability to view new shifts in the mobile app for 7 days
Inability to apply for new shifts for 7 days
No “New Shift” notifications for 7 days
Existing shift applications will be automatically withdrawn
All currently scheduled shifts will be canceled
Canceling less than 6 hours prior to the start of your shift
Impact:
A decrease in your Shifter Reliability %
Inability to view new shifts in the mobile app for 14 days
Inability to apply for new shifts for 14 days
No “New Shift” notifications for 14 days
Existing shift applications will be automatically withdrawn
All currently scheduled shifts will be canceled
Not showing up or canceling after your shift start time
First Offense Impact:
A decrease in your Shifter Reliability %
Inability to view new shifts in the mobile app for 30 days
Inability to apply for new shifts for 30 days
No “New Shift” notifications for 30 days
Existing shift applications will be automatically withdrawn
All currently scheduled shifts will be canceled
On your first shift, canceling after the scheduled start time, or failing to show up for a confirmed shift without canceling results in an indefinite suspension.
Access to the shiftNOW app will remain suspended until an appeal email is sent to support@shiftnow.com or by contacting our support team through the mobile app's messaging feature.
Second Offense Impact:
Inability to access the shiftNOW mobile app indefinitely
Existing shift applications will be automatically withdrawn
All currently scheduled shifts will be canceled
Suspensions may be appealed by sending an appeal email to support@shiftnow.com or by contacting our support team through the mobile app's messaging feature.
Failure to confirm by the deadline if accepted by the client more than 24 hours before the shift start time
Impact:
A decrease in your Shifter Reliability %
Inability to view new shifts in the mobile app for 7 days
Inability to apply for new shifts for 7 days
No “New Shift” notifications for 7 days
Every new shifter on the shiftNOW Platform starts with a 5-star rating and a 100% Shifter Reliability %.
Your Shifter Reliability % will decrease if you:
Cancel your shift engagement
Fail to show up for a confirmed shift engagement without canceling
Fail to confirm the shift engagement by the confirmation deadline
A Shifter Reliability % that drops below 60% after acceptance or confirmation to at least five shifts will result in the following:
Indefinite suspension of your shiftNOW account
Withdrawal of all existing shift applications
Cancellation of all confirmed shifts
